As announced earlier this year, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp has officially unveiled the successor to the Redmi 3 smartphone, named Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro.
It is priced at 899 yuan ( US$138 approx ) and comes with the similar specifications except a fingerprint sensor on the back. The Redmi 3 Pro will be available in China starting from 6th April, but unfortunately there’s no word yet on its global release date.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution, runs on Android Lollipop based MIUI 7 and powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. The device has a 3GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and MicroSD expandable up to 128GB.
The handset comes with full metal magnesium alloy unibody design and features a 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, LED Flash and 1080p video recording support. It also comes with a 5MP Full HD front camera and a 4100mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro has Hybrid Dual SIM technology with 4G LTE, GPS + GLONASS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity support. The device measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm and weighs just 144g. It will be available in Gray, Silver and Gold variants.
