Vivo officially launched its latest voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) enabled smartphone, the Vivo Y21L in India with a price tag of Rs 7,490. But it has a small 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, running Funtouch OS 2.0 based on the older version of Android (Lollipop 5.1). So, I think this is not a perfect phone at the price point.
Moving to its hardware department, the Vivo Y21L packs a 64-bit Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, clocked at 1.2 GHz paired with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The battery capacity is just 2000mAh battery, and this phone has a 1GB RAM along with 16GB of on-board memory and an expansion option via microSD up to 128GB.
In terms of photography, the smartphone comes with a 5-Megapixel main camera with Flash and a 2-Megapixel front camera for selfie as well as video calling. Like other Android smartphones, it also has dual SIM capabilities with 4G VoLTE-support
Interestingly, it has the Smart Wake feature, so you can just swipe “F” to open Facebook, “E” to launch browser and “M” for play music. It will go on sale in two color options, white and grey. The Vivo Y21L measures are 130.7×66.4×9.2 mm and weighs in at 145 grams.
