After launching OPPO A37 globally, the OPPO unveiled a new smartphone, called the OPPO A59 in its existing A series in China, last week. It will cost 1799 yuan (roughly US$ 274 / Rs. 18,320). Now you can pre-order this phone via OPPO online shop in China and start shipping from 18th June.
The OPPO A59 bears a 5.5-inch IPS 2.5D curved display with 720p HD resolution. Under the hood, the OPPO A59 packs an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor with a speed of 1.5 GHz. It also got a Mali T860 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
The handset runs on Android version Color OS 3.0 based on v5.1 (Lollipop). It comes with a 3075mAh battery and 32GB of built-in storage capacity, which can be expanded by up to 128GB via MicroSD slot. You will also get a Fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button.
In addition, the phone has a 13 Megapixe primary camera with LED Flash, PDAF and also includes an 8 Megapixe front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The OPPO A59 measures are 154.5 x 76 x 7.38mm and weighs in at 160 grams. The phone comes with a full metal unibody design featuring Zirconium metal finish. It will be available in at least two color variants, Gold and Rose Gold.
In terms of connectivity options, the OPPO A59 has Hybrid Dual SIM with 4G VoLTE support and GSM, WiFi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), USB OTG and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity options.
