Finally, Oppo announced its entry-level handset, the OPPO A37 for the global markets. As we know that this phone was introduced in China in April this year. The OPPO A37 Chinese version has an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC, while the global variant will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC.
The budget smartphone houses a 5-inch 720p HD IPS 2.5D curved glass screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, powered by a Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a speed of 1.2GHz. It also has Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB on board memory with and expansion option via MicroSD up to 128GB.
The device runs on ColorOS 3.0 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. On the photography front, it houses a 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 1080p video recording capabilities. The phone also features a 5 Megapixel front camera.
It has dual SIM support with 4G LTE connectivity option, and is backed by a 2630mAh built-in battery. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and Dirac HD sound. The Oppo A37 measures 143.1×71×7.68mm and weighs just 136 grams. It comes in three colors, Gold, Grey and Rose Gold.
It will cost around $199, depending on the markets, and will go on sale very soon. It is also available in Singapore with a price tag of SG$ 289 (US$ 215 / Rs. 14,475 approx.).
