LeEco has announced the company’s first ‘made for India’ smartphone, the LeEco Le 1s Eco at an event in Mumbai, last week. The new smartphone has been priced at Rs 10,899 and comes with 1 year free LeEco entertainment membership.
This package includes video-on-demand service powered by Eros Now, live streaming of TV channels powered by YuppTV and LeEco Music, in partnership with Hungama Music. It also comes with LeEco Drive, Live Concerts, Le Vidi and more.
The LeEco membership is priced at Rs 490/- per month, or Rs 4900/- per annum. The membership buyers will also get a deduction of Rs 4,000 on purchase of LeEco products.
For its first Flipkart flash sale on 12th May at 2PM, the company will offer the first 100,000 Le 1s Eco handsets at Rs 9,999 per unit. LeEco has already started the registration for the flash sale. The smartphone will be available in only gold color variant.
In terms of specification, this is an enhanced version of the company’s Le 1s. Le 1s, and comes with 10 different Indian languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
The LeEco Le 1s Eco packs in a 5.5-inch Full HD in-cell display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and powered by a Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with no option to expand the storage.
The LeEco Le 1s Eco runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s own EUI, and packs a 3,000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. The phone has a metal unibody design and a rear fingerprint scanner.
On the photography front, it comes equipped with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and is capable of recording 4K videos, and also includes a 5 Megapixel front camera.
In terms of connectivity options, it is a 4G enabled device and also comes with 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Infrared, Bluetooth, USB OTG and USB Type-C port.
