The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has just announced their latest flagship smartphones, the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus at an official event in London. Both the handsets will be available starting from 16th April.
The Huawei P9 comes in six color variants, Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Mystic Silver, Prestige Gold, Rose Gold and Titanium Gray. The P9 will cost £449 (roughly US$ 630 / Rs. 42,140) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model. It will also be available in 4GB/ 64GB model.
The P9 plus is priced at £549 (roughly US$ 770 / Rs. 51,570) and comes in at least four color variants, Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Quartz Gray and Rose Gold.
Both the phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1, powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 955 processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of expandable storage up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. But the Huawei P9 also comes with 3GB of RAM/ 32GB of storage option.
The notable feature of these devices is a dual 12MP camera setup located on the rear with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and 1.25-micron pixels, promises to work better in low-light conditions. It also comes with proprietary hybrid-focus technology and an independent depth measurement chip. Other features include, RAW support and full manual control.
Both these ultra slim full metal body handsets come with an 8MP front camera, Infrared sensor and a fingerprint sensor on the rear with 3D fingerprint sensor. Both have Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), NFC, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack and Stereo speakers.
Let’s discuss about the Huawei P9, the smartphone packs a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It has a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology. The device measures 145×70.9×6.95mm and weighs in at just 144 grams.
Meanwhile, the Huawei P9 Plus has a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Press Touch and 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone backed by a 3,400mAh battery with fast charging technology. Its measures are 152.2×75.31×6.98mm.
